08 medical shops seized in Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb. 07 : Authorities on Wednesday seized eight medical shops that were violating of various rules and were selling drugs without prescription.

An official told Srinagar-based news gathering agency Kashmir Scroll that during a surprise visit, a team headed by drug inspector Bandipora Bilal Ahmad, along with SDPO Sumbal and SHO Sumbal, seized at least ten shops in the market that were operating without proper laws.

The officer further said that this drive will continue in the near future. He said that the drive was meant to check over the counter sale of restricted drugs without prescription which can be misused by drug abusers. (KS)
