Death toll reaches 288 in JK

Srinagar, July 23: COVID cases continue to see a spike with each passing day in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir as 10 more people became victims of this deadly virus on Thursday.
Official sources told Kashmir Despatch that ten more persons died due to Coronavirus on Thursday in Kashmir Division.
He said among ten patients include a 57-year-old male from Firdous Abad Batamallo Srinagar, a 55-year-old male from Nawakadal Srinagar, a 52-year-old woman from Zonimar Srinagar, a 46-year old woman from Gazriyal Kupwara, a 60-year old non-local resident a 70-year old lady from Uri Baramulla, a 40-year-old from Chinkral Mohalla, Habba Kadal, Srinagar, A 63-year-old women from Shopian district, A 86-year-old man from Batamaloo Srinagar and a 62-year-old woman from Tral area of Pulwama district. The official said all the patients had underlying ailments.
With these fresh COVID deaths, the toll rose to 288 in J&K including 268 from Kashmir and 20 from Jammu division.
Meanwhile, as per health officials, 8607 people have recovered sofar in Jammu and Kashmir from this deadly virus.
