12-year old minor girl allegedly molested in Uri

Uri, Oct 28: An eight-year old girl was allegedly molested in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, official said.

A police official told news agency that one Nazim Hussain (19) son of Abdul Lateef resident of Nawarunda Uri allegedly resorted to sexual harassment to a minor girl (name withheld).
He added that soon after the complaint, the accused was immediately nabbed from the nearby area.

Meanwhile Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Abdul Qayoom confirmed the incident to KNS, saying the accused has been sent behind the bars.

He said a case under FIR No. 151/2020 u/s 363, 376 IPC stands registered and investigations taken up”, he said. (KNS)
