15 NHPC employees test positive in Uri

Uri, Oct 04 : Atleast fifteen employees of NHPC Uri on Saturday evening have tested positive for COVID-19 officials said.

An official told Kashmir Despatch, a sampling was conducted for employees and reports were received after which 15 have been tested positive for this deadly virus.

The official said that as a precautionary measure, sanitization has been started in and around the power project and other employees have been also asked to go for testing.

SDM Uri Riyaz-Ul-Haq also confirmed this news to Kashmir Despatch, said as per health protocol all employees have been asked to follow strictly, he added employees who tested positive have been advised to go for home quarantine and have all precautionary measures.

SDM further added that power project functions smoothly.
