Thousands attend last rites of Slain militants in Pulwama villages

Srinagar, Jan 04 : Thousands of people on Friday attended the funeral prayers of slain militants in their native villages in Laribal in Tral and in Chursoo village of Pulwama.

Three Hibz militants Tawseef Ahmed Thoker, Zubair Ahmed Bhat and Shakoor Ahmed Parray who were killed during an encounter with government forces in Gulshanpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday, in the day long gunfight one soldier was also injured critically.

Reports said that multiple funerals were offered to the slain militants as atmosphere reverberated with pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans despite harsh weather conditions in their native villages of South Kashmir.

Eyewitnesses said that soon after the slain militants was taken towards the graveyards, militants appeared in the funeral prayers and offered a gun salute to their slain militants.

Amid sobs and tears slain militants were laid to rest to their native villages.

Meanwhile parts of Pulwama and its adjoining areas shuts to mourn the killing of three local militants
