18 Persons Injured In Collision Mini-Bus-Truck Collision In Poonch

Poonch, July 14 : Eighteen persons were injured, one of them seriously, in a collision between a truck and a mini-bus in Poonch district on Wednesday.

Official sources told GNS there was a collision between the truck (JK02AF-6083), on its way from Surankote towards Poonch, and the passenger mini-bus (JK12-0910), going in opposite direction, near Khanater, resulting injuries to 18 persons who were removed to Sub District Hospital Poonch. One of the seriously injured persons has shifted to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment, they said.

They injured admitted to SDH Poonch have been identified as Azad Ahmed (26) of Dundak, Nasir Hussain (50) of Dalera Bhainch, Mohammad Aslam (63) of Nabna, Nasir Ahmed (19) of Dundak, Mohammad Fareed (50) of Sehri Khwaja, Rubhina Bi (30) of Dalera, Mohammad Umar (21) of Surankote, Mohammad (37) of Malan, Abdul Khaliq (30) of Malan, Raseeda Bi (30) of Mandi Sakhiyan, Sareefa Begum (30) of Mandi Sakhiyan, Rubina Kouser (20) of Skt, Sardeep Ansal (25) of Udampur, Sakina Begum (30) of Skt, Shalena Begum (20) of Skt , Zahida Kouser (25) of Skt and Rubina Kouser (30) of Dalera.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch Dr Mustaq Jaffri confirmed told GNS that 17 persons have been admitted to the hospital.

A police officer told GNS that a case has been registered and further investigation taken up. (GNS)
