Pulwama: As part of its continued commitment towards community welfare and public outreach, 185 Battalion, CRPF organised a Free Health Camp on 30 June 2026 at Government Middle School, Gosainard, a remote village under PS Khrew, District Pulwama (J&K).
The camp was organised under the banner of CRPF Madadgar with the objective of providing accessible healthcare services to the local population and strengthening the bond between the Force and the community. A team of experienced medical practitioners conducted free medical consultations, health check-ups, treatment, and distributed medicines to the beneficiaries.
A total of 149 villagers, including men, women, children, and elderly citizens from Gosainard and adjoining villages, availed themselves of the free medical services. The initiative received an encouraging response from the local population, with beneficiaries expressing appreciation for the timely healthcare assistance provided by the Battalion.
The camp formed part of the Battalion’s ongoing Civic Action Programme, aimed at improving access to essential healthcare services in remote areas and contributing to the overall well-being of the local community. The programme also served to further strengthen the spirit of trust, cooperation, and mutual goodwill between the CRPF and the people.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Shri Hemant, Commandant, 185 BN CRPF, this was the sixth Free Health Camp conducted by the Battalion this year.
The event was attended by Dr. Vinod Tandon, Second-in-Command; Shri Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant; Shri Mahesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant; Miss Anuradha, Assistant Commandant; and Dr. Salim Bilal, along with other officers and personnel of 185 BN CRPF. Representatives of the local Police and civil administration were also present on the occasion.
The local residents and civil authorities appreciated the humanitarian initiative of 185 BN CRPF and lauded the Battalion’s sustained efforts towards community service, public welfare, and fostering strong relations with the local populace.
