SRINAGAR, Aug 1: The candidates who have qualified Finance Accounts Assistant (FAA) exams continued their protest for the 19th consecutive day on Monday, demanding release of the final selection list at the earliest.

Scores of selected FAA candidates from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir gathered near Press Club Jammu and Lal Chowk Srinagar demanding justice in their favor.

Protesters raised slogans against the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board and alleged that malpractices are destroying the career of deserving candidates as they are being forced to pay the price of those who indulge in malpractices.

Carrying placards that read “Beti Padhao Sadko Pe Bithao”, the protesters in Press Enclave Srinagar also raised slogans “Nokri Do Ya Goli Do”.

Meanwhile, Mission Statehood Jammu and Kashmir President Sunil Dimple met with the Finance Account Assistant Aspirants protesting outside Press Club Jammu on Monday and said if their demands were not met, the aspirants and their family members will go on hunger strike tomorrow.

He said that India is celebrating 75 years of independence and the young women are on the streets demanding justice. “The silence of LG Sinha seems to be hiding something and it’s the failure of LG administration,” he alleged.
