2 civilians injured after shell explodes near encounter site in Ananthnag

Ananthnag, Sep 25 : Two civilians were injured after an explosive device went off near encounter site in Srihama area of Ananthnag on Friday.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch an explosion took place at the encounter site at Srihama area, injuring two civilians who had assembled there post the killing of two militants in the gunfight that broke out yesterday evening.

Both the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police in this regard has registered a case and started investigation into the issue.

Pertinent to mention here that two militants were killed in the gunfight, however the identification of both slain militants is yet to be assertained.
