Sopore : Police on Wednesday said that they have arrested a narcotic drug peddlers along with psychotropic substance.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch, Sopore Police continuing its efforts to eradicate the Drug Menace from the Police District Sopore, on 16 November 2021, at about 1930 hours a police party of Police Station Sopore during patrolling apprehended notorious drug peddler’s namely 1. Aqib Nisar Gojree @Aqib goure S/O Nisar Ahmad Gojree R/O Batpora A/P Model town and recovered 144 capsules, Brown sugar, 31 bottles of codine from his possession 2. Irfan Ahmd Gazi @Raju gazi S/O Abdul khaliq Gazi R/O Yaseen colony Arampora sopore and recovered 144 capsules, Brown sugar, 29 bottles of codine from his possession.
In this regard Case FIR No. 276/2021 U/S 8/22,21,29 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station sopore and further investigation is in progress.
It is pertinent to mention that sopore police has launched a full fledged war against anti social elements and will continue its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of anti social evils within the Police District.
