Appeals Youth to shun the path of Violence
Srinagar, September 30: SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat IPS on Friday said that the slain militants had came to disrupt the ongoing Army Rally in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Talking to reporters SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat said that we recieved a input this morning about presence of some militants in Yedipora Village.
A joint team of Baramulla Police and Army launched cordon and search operation in the area. During searches the hiding militants from a residential house fired upon the search party, which was retaliated triggering off an encounter, the officer said.
SSP Baramulla further said that encounter ensued for sometime and ultimately both the militants were killed this morning. Both militants so far are unidentified and from their possession AKS74U rifle with three magazines and a pistol with a Magazine were recovered.
SSP Baramulla said that we had recieved a input that these two militants were given task to attack the ongoing Army recruitment Rally (Agniveer) in Baramulla.( GNS)
Their mission was to fail this recruitment rally by disturbing the Youth. However we have been successful in repulsing their plan to attack the rally by killing both the militants, he said.
We appeal to the people not to go near the encounter site until the site is completely sanitized from any kind of explosions. And I also appeal to Youth not to join the path of violence, the officer added.
