2 soldiers killed, 4 injured in Handwara cross border shelling

Kupwara, Oct 01 : Two army soldiers on Thursday were killed while four others injured in a cross border shelling along the line of control (LOC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

An official told Kashmir Despatch, Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation along LoC in Naugam Sector, Kupwara on Thursday morning by firing mortars & other weapons.

The officer said two soldiers were killed in the cross border shelling while four sustained serious injuries and were taken to MI hospital for treatment.

SP Handwara GV Sandeep also confirmed the killing of two army soldiers to Kashmir Despatch.
