A carrier guidance program for youth of Valley was organised by Army Camp, Widdipura under the aegis of Chinar Corps at Government Higher Secondary School, Nihalpura Pattan on 16 January 2016. The aim of the programs was to provide guidance to the hardworking and struggling youth on the various career opportunities available to shape their future in the fields of Engineering, Information Technology, Medical, Commerce, Civil Services, Law and Army. The Guidance was provided to the young ignited minds by Imtiyaz Hussain Mir, SSP, Baramulla and Farzana Mumtaz, Editor, News Kashmir who enlightened and motivated the audience to realize their potential and work with determination and self belief to achieve their goals. The audience also got an opportunity to have an interactive session with the eminent members of panel from various professional fields to include Dr Aadil, BMO, Pattan, Abdul Ahad Khan, Vice Superintendent, ITI, Pattan, Gul Saheed, Chief Training and Canning Officer, Horticulture Dept, Srinagar (J&K) and Imran Gujri, Advocate, High Court, Srinagar. These eminent panellists answered the queries of participants to their satisfaction. The program commenced with the staging of the award winning skit “Sab ka Malik Ek” which preaches communal harmony and National Integration, performed by the budding students of Government High School, Nilahpura, Pattan. The locals were very enthusiastic and grateful to the Army for organizing career guidance program for the benefit of their children. Over 1500 students from local areas of Pattan and other villages participated in the program and availed the opportunity. On the occasion Maj Gen Asit Mistry, GOC of Sharifabad based Army addressed the youth on the importance of career guidance and also commended on overwhelming participation by the Youth.
