Srinagar,Nov 12: Doctors Association Kashmir(DAK) has demanded reinstating of Dr Nisar ul Hassan, faculty member of Government Medical College(GMC),Srinagar and is suspended since May 2014. DAK also demanded reinstatement of Dr Bilal Ahmad wagay, Medical Officer DH Kulgam who has been suspended without any prior enquiry since October 2nd week.
In a core body meeting of DAK chaired by its president Dr Suhail Naik ,all the members unanimously decided that Dr Nisar should be reinstated at the earliest as it is inhuman and barbaric to keep a person suspended for so long. Furthermore Dr Bilal Wagay Medical officer at DH kulgam has been suspended in recent past on flimsy grounds. The people from Kulgam and adjoining areas have also criticized the suspension of competent, dedicated doctor and many among them even approached DAK to press for reinstating of said doctor.
“It is a tragedy that our colleagues have not been reinstated, even after several representations have been made to the Governments at various occasions, furthermore government has failed to give clear cut basis and reasons for suspension of both the doctors which further adds to their agony ” Dr Naik added.
Dr Naik further added that due to prolonged suspension of Dr Nisar, patients and students are suffering in already deficient Faculty of GMC, Srinagar, therefore government must take a sympathetic view towards his prolonged suspension.
DAK will provide free legal assistance to Dr Nisar Ul Hassan and Dr Bilal Ahmad wagay if need arises, to get justice in Hon’ble Court, as Justice delayed is Justice denied.
DAK demands that Hon’ble Chief Minister should personally intervene in the said matter and reinstate Dr Nisar Ul Hassan at the earliest so as justice is served.
