Ganderbal, July 22: A 25-year-old student was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Wayil Wudder area of Gutlibagh in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday, officials said.
Officials said the body was shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal, where medico-legal formalities, including a postmortem examination, are being carried out.
Preliminary findings indicate that the incident is suspected to be a case of suicide.
However, the exact cause of death will be ascertained after completion of the investigation and postmortem.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and initiated proceedings to investigate the circumstances leading to the student’s death.
Authorities said further details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
