3 gamblers held in police raid in Kashmir’s capital

Srinagar, April 25 : Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three gamblers from Ahmadnagar area of Soura, Srinagar.

Police in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said that three persons were held following input about gambling activities in Shah Mohalla Ahmadnagar.

Statement reads that Police Station Soura have seized playing cards and a stake amount of ₹18,200 from the gamblers, in this regard a case FIR No 25/2019 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Soura.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law.

Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighborhood with the local police units police statement further reads.
