3 months on Tehsildar post lying vacant in Gurez, people suffer

Date:

Gurez, Feb 13 : The Tehsildar post in the Tulail area of Gurez valley has been laying vacant for the last three months, thereby hampering the smooth functioning of official work besides suffering the local people.

The locals said that the Tehsildar post in the Valley has been laying vacant for the past three months, thereby hitting the functioning of Tehsil. “We have been affected due to the absence of Tehsildar. Although the Naib Tehsildar was directed to hold his charges but he’s also absent for the past several weeks now,” they added.

“We have informed the administration about the issue many times  but nothing is happening yet,” the locals said.

BJP leader, Fakir Mohammad Khan told KNS that the administration of Gurez constituency along with district administration are up to the sleeves to disconnect people from BJP, and their working system clearly shows their intention to defame BJP.

The administration’s favouritism is clearly shown for its own officials as they are using chopper service twice in the week while poor people are suffering for the weeks now to get airlifted.
Sub District Magistrate Gurez, Mudasir Ahmad told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that due to the heavy snow in gurez and adverse weather, Tehsildar has been stuck in gurez. “Once weather will allow he will resume his duties”, he added.(KNS)
