4 soldiers injured in ongoing Kishtwar encounter

Jammu, Nov 10 : Four soldiers were injured in an encounter with militants in Kishtwar district on Sunday officials said.


They said that the encounter started between militants and security forces in Chaas area of Kishtwar district this morning.


Four soldiers were injured in the firefight and they have been shifted to hospital.

A top police said that intermittent exchange of fire was underway between the two sides in the area.

The encounter ensued after a cordon and search operation was launched by the joint team of Police and army based on specific input about presence of some militants in the area.(GNS)
