Sopore, Mar 28 : Five drug peddlers were arrested on Sunday after they were found in possession of narcotic substances in North Kashmir’s Sopore town police said.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch police said, during vehicular checking at Kupwara crossing Byepass, Police party of Police Station Sopore headed by SHO Sopore Inspector Mudasir Nazar arrested 05 drug peddlers who identified as Abdul Majeed Dar S/o Ghulam Mohammad Dar R/o Maharajpora Sopore.
Mudasir Ahmad Dar S/o Ali Mohammad Dar R/o Maharajpora Sopore.
Mudasir Ahmad Rather S/o Gulam Rasool Rather R/o Chatloora Rafiabad.
Umar Tariq Dar S/o Tariq Ahmad Dar R/o Mumkak Sopore.
Nissar Ahmad Dar S/o Late Ghulam Ahmad Dar R/o Arampora Sopore.
The arrested persons were travelling in a vehicle Eco Car which was signaled to stop and during through search huge quantity of SPASMOPROXYVON capsules and some cash recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the vehicle.
Vehicle ECO Car bearing registration number JKO5E-1271 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 76/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Sopore the statement further reads.
