51 suspected COVID-19 cases in Sopore tested negative

Sopore, April 19: A day ended on a happy note for Soporians when 51 suspected COVID-19 cases were tested negative, a sigh of relief and a ray of light for their families and neighbours too.

As reported Kashmir Despatch an initiative of tracking down the physical contacts and suspects across the town, police and health team traced out 52 who were sent to GMC Baramulla for screening, however on wee hours of Sunday 51 were reported negative while one a Baker by profession with travel history of Nizamuddin New Delhi was tested positive.

A health official while sharing the details to Kashmir Despatch said good news for Soporians as 51 suspects of COVID-19 were tested negative. The official added we have sent 34 more Suspected cases for sampling and reports are awaited and we hope all will turn negative.

Meanwhile a police officer with a thankful note for the general public through Kashmir Despatch as saying, the results which were turned up today in favour of Soporians are highly appreciated and it’s the public who is the main source behind these results as they cooperated with administration followed the procedural protocol.
