6 killed after gunman storms Mosque in Afghanistan

Srinagar, April 30 : At least six persons were killed after a gunman stormed a mosque in western Afghanistan, reports said on Tuesday.

Reports quoting Interior ministry spokesman Abdul Mateen Qani said that an unknown armed person shot at civilian worshippers in a mosque in Herat province’s Guzara district at around 9 pm last night.

He said that six civilians were killed and one civilian was injured.

Locals, as per reports, said the mosque served the minority Shiite community and the imam and a three-year-old child were among those killed. (KNS)
