Srinagar, Aug 04: Seven more persons died of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the death toll in J&K to 417, officials said.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that Jammu and Kashmir recorded seven more deaths of Covid-19 infections were reported on Tuesday. He said among a 60-year-old male from Draigam Budgam, a 75-year-old male from Khanyar Srinagar, a 65-year-old woman from Badran Magam Budgam and a 65-year-woman from Attina Budgam, 59-year-old resident of Basanthbagh Srinagar.
The officer said two more deaths were reported from Kashmir Division on Tuesday evening. He said among a 75 and 70 year old two men from Tral area of Pulwama district.
With the fresh seven deaths, the COVID death toll rose to 417 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, 824 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 291 from Jammu Division and 533 from Kashmir Division, while active cases in the UT stand at 7123 and 14856 have recovered sofar from this deadly virus.
