Bandipora, Feb. 07: Authorities on Tuesday sealed seven shops in the Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, stating that the land was illegally occupied.
Speaking to the reporters as per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, officials said that the land was illegally occupied and more than 20 shops were built there, which will also be sealed in the coming days.
“The seven shops were raised, and eviction notices to illegal occupants were also served, but they failed to vacate, after which we started sealing the shop,” the official said.
Meanwhile, the owners of the shops held a protest, claiming that authorities should give him time to vacate his shops before sealing them.
