8 more Die Of COVID, J&K toll 590

Srinagar, August 20: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported eight fresh COVID related deaths, taking the fatalities toll to 590.


An official told Kashmir Despatch that eight more persons including a CRPF soldier lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.


He said among the fatalities including A 70-year-old man from Sopore Baramulla, an 87-year-old from Tral Pulwama, a woman from Budgam, a 50-year-old COVID-19 CRPF man, a resident of Shivpora Srinagar, An elderly woman from Yunsu Handwara, A resident of Jawahar Nagar Srinagar, A 56-year-old woman from Lal Bazar Srinagar, A 62-year-old man from Gantmulla Baramulla and A 70-year-old woman of Dialgam Anantnag.


With these fresh COVID fatalities, the toll rose to 590 in Jammu and Kashmir, 549 from the Valley, and 41 from the Jammu division.
