“Today I feel proud as President Coordinator NMO Kashmir(National Medicos Organization) for successful completion of 8th Rishi Kashyap Swasthya Sewa Yatra conducted between 21-25 September 2022 covering all districts of rural Kashmir in which 16 teams of more than 50 Medicos (11 teams of 33 medicos from outside Jammu and Kashmir and 5 local teams of 25 Medicos) participated and conducted 48 medical camps.

Approximately more than 6000 patients were benefitted. Medicines for these camps were donated by Gujarat Sewa Bharti and NHM Jammu and Kashmir also assisted during these camps.

The Inaugural function was held on 21.09.22 at 7 PM in Hall of Yatri Niwas Durga Mandir Lal Chowk and the next day on 22.09.22 fleet of 16 teams of medicos was Flagged off by Ms Ayushi Sudan, IAS MD NHM JK.

Over the next 3 days the teams conducted medical camps at 48 places and patients were given free medical treatment and health check up. The teams were hosted by volunteers of Sewa Bharti JK and Ekal Vidyalaya.

In addition to medical aspect the teams also surveyed the localities and enquired about the problems being faced by people with respect to sanitation and clean drinking water.


After returning back from camps Valedictory function was organized on 25.09.22 10 AM in Auditorium Hall of GDC Srinagar. The occasion was graced by Manniye Ramesh Pappa Ji, Patron NMO Bharat, Honrable DC Srinagar Shri Mohammad Aijaz, Shri Yasin M Choudhary MD KPDCL, Dr Vishambhar Singh Ji, All India Secretary NMO Bharat, Shri Girish Patel Ji, Gujarat Sewa Bharti, Dr. Farooq Sewa Bharti JK and President Coordinator NMO Kashmir Dr. Kulwant Singh Bhau. President NMO Kashmir presented the welcome address in which he highlighted the significance of these camps for national integration.
Speaking on the occasion DC Srinagar highlighted the need for bridging the gap and trust building and lauded the efforts of NMO Kashmir and Sewa Bharti JK in this direction. Sh Yasin M Choudhary while addressing the audience apprised about various health schemes launched in JK through NHM and stressed on curbing the menace of Drug abuse in JK. Dr. Vishwabhar Singh Ji highlighted salient features of NMO Vision Kashmir in which a proposal of adopting one village within radius of 50 kms by one NMO ekai for targeting Anaemia, tuberculosis, drug abuse, was suggested.
5 Volunteers of NMO Bharat narrated their experiences during these camps while they stayed in the homes of local karyakartas.
The Doctors and Students who participated in these camps were felicitated by the worthy Chief Guest and Guest of Honor.
New NMO Membership Kit was also launched by worthy Chief Guest and Guest of Honor.
The Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Rohini Sharma VP NMO
Kashmir.The event was completed by Rashtriye Jaan in the end followed by Lunch.
