94 sheep, goats killed as lightning hits Poonch village amid bad weather

Poonch, May 24: Nearly 100 sheep and goats were killed after a lightening struck amid heavy rain at Loran area of Mandi in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening.


Reports reaching news agency said that the nomads namely Mohd Qasim and Mohd Junaid while grazing sheep and goats at Loran village when suddenly the lightening hits the area during heavy rains.


In the nature calamity, 94 animals died on the spot.


SHO Loran, Tilak Raj told news agency that 94 animals died due to lightning amid inclement weather.(GNS)
