95 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death Reported In J&K

Srinagar, Oct 17 : Jammu and Kashmir reported 95 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunnday.

Among the fresh cases, 14 were reported from Jammu Division and 81 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 331062.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 40 cases, Baramulla 10, Budgam 13, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 3, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 8, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include three males (77, 52, 50) and two females (15, 14) from Friends lane Lal Bazar, female (30) from Buchpora, female (62) from Shesh Bagh Hawal, male (33) from Batpora, male (25) from Gulberg Colony Gulabagh, male (25) from HMT Shalteng, male (21) from Andrsoo Pampore, male (36) and female (32) from Bemina, female (70) from Lal Bazar, two males (75, 32) from NA, male (63) from Gulab Bagh, female (80) from Nigeen, female (NA) from Khanpora, female (NA) from Chanapora, female (61) from Sheri Bhat, male (54) and female (30) from Alamgiri Bazar.

Moreover, the officials told GNS that 107 more patients have recovered—42 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir. So far 325793 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 843—131 in Jammu and 712 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 48 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 58,523 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. (GNS)
