SRINAGAR, MARCH 14: Under the guidance of Dr Basharat Qayoom, DC Anantnag, the road from Kokernag to Margan Valley (Margan Top) has been cleared by Kokernag Administration in a record breaking achievement, through the valiant efforts of MED Anantnag engineers and operators who made relentless efforts for the same.
PMGSY Anantnag also made efforts in this regard as they maintain this road, said an official.
Usually the road is opened in the month of May, however this year a record was made to clear the road on March 14th itself.
DC Anantnag personally monitored the entire clearance process. Permanently, this road is a lifeline for the people of Wardwan and Marwah who had requested administration for early clearance of the road.
After clearance of the road to the top, the further job of clearing the road towards Wardwan and Marwah was handed over to Kishtwar Administration. On the occasion, SDM Kokernag has handed over the work to SDM Marwah to proceed with clearance on Kishtwar side so that people of Wardwan and Marwah will avail the transport facility through this road at an earliest.
