JAMMU, Mar 22: Sajad Shah Block Officer Jammu and Kashmir Central Division has been awarded for his excellent work and contribution in the department of forests especial his role in retrieval of 1300 kanals of departmental land.
Shah played a pivotal role in removing encroachment from forest land in Brein conservation reserve that was occupied by a local land mafia and some influential people with chronic habit of grabbing forest and government land in the vicinity.
Shah executed a historic demarcation in such prime and richest conservation reserve which is (a buffer zone ) in between Rajbawan and national park Dachigam.
He has also participated and conducted many national and one international conference (cop-19) and has worked in different capacities contributing immensely in preserving wild life and other forest wealth under his juridiction.
Shah played a strategic role in controlling wild forest fires as a frontline officer, besides retrieving a 100-year-old Panther house and turned it into a beautiful attraction as eco-Hangul stop. He also retrieved two kanals of prime land of old office Wild life head quarters at Pahloo Brein occupied by some mischievous persons and now this patch has been used to construct a best staff facility.
Recognizing his immense contribution in the department especially his leadership qualities, the LG Manoj Sinah led administration honoured and rewarded him with certificate of excellence and an award.
