Article 370 was abrogated for development, peace in J&K: Union Minister

Srinagar, Mar 24 : Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment of India, Ramdas Athawale said that Article 370 was abrogated for development and peace in the Jammu and Kashmir. 


He also said that the union territory of J&K will be soon converted into a state again as the home minister Amit Shah had made a commitment that statehood and the Modi government will shortly consider it.


“After granting statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, the people of people will get the right to vote,” he said, adding that state assembly elections can be held shortly.


The minister also said that abrogation of Article 370 was done for development and peace in Jammu and Kashmir(KNS).
