Para Sports Week celebrated in Lurgam Tral

Pulwama: The Physical Education Zone in Lurgam area of South Kashmir’s Tral organized and conducted various sports activities (Para Sports) for children with special needs. 

In his inaugural speech, Nazir Ahmad, Zonal Physical Education Officer Lurgam said that, “never let any one tell you that you are useless because you’re not . You are amazing. Each one of us is unique. Allah Loves you, Knows your challenges  positives and negatives. He knows more than you knows about yourself, and he didn’t make any one of us useless.”

Under the banner, celebration of sports week (Para sports) for specially abled person, around  32 to 48 specially abled children studying in various institutions participated in athletics , volleyball, carrom, chess and recreational games, while around 207 children studying in various institutions of the Zone are registered on the Chief Education Officer Pulwama’s portal. 

Coordinator, Zone Lurgam, Mehmooda Akhter and Principal Higher Secondary School Lurgam distributed the medals and cash award, donated by the staff of zone Lurgam, among the participants. The officers appreciated the participants and gave their full sport in conducting sports activities.

Meanwhile, ZPEO Lurgam has asked the students to participate physically in sports activities rather than gaming on the cellphone. He said physical education is an important component of general education, as physical activities not only remove the mental fatigue of the students but refresh them for routine class work as well.
