Srinagar, Jun 15 : Valley Uro-Con 2023, a premier medical conference being hosted by the Postdoctoral Department of Urology at the Super Specialty Hospital Srinagar has started on Thursday.
Dr Syed Sajad Nazir, Head of the Department Urology and Chairman Valley Uro-con 2023) told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that conference aims to bring together esteemed healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders to explore the latest advancements in urology and renal transplant towards improving health outcomes in our community.
He said that one day one eight advanced urological procedures were performed by renowned urologists.
The process include Renal Stone Disease Surgeries, Retrograde Intra-renal Surgery(RIRS) One by Prof (Dr) Syed Sajjad Nazir and another by Prof (Dr) Kandarp Parikh, Carcinoma Prostate (Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy) performed by Prof (Dr) C Malikarjuna, Two Pelvi-ureteric Junction obstructions (PUJO): Laparoscopic repair of PUJO (Pyeloplasty) One by Prof (D C Malikarjuna and another by Dr. Syed Md Ghouse, Non Functioning kidney due to stones: Laparoscopic (Retroperitoneoscopic) nephrectomy by Prof(Dr) Muneer Khan, Thulium laser excision of very large (200 gm) prostate by Ashish Saini and Bipolar excision of enlarged Prostate (118 gm) by Dr Anshuman Kapoor.
He said that today’s conference was attended by over 200 international and national delegates.
“For the first time in the valley Sacral Neuromodulation “BLADDER PACEMAKER” a ground breaking revolutionary technology for treatment of bladder problems will be demonstrated,” Dr Sajad said.
Dr Tanveer Iqbal (Associate professor and Organizing Secretary) said that “with a diverse range of topics and expert speakers, attendees will gain valuable insights into cutting-edge research and developments shaping the future of urology”.—(KNO)
