Gurez,June 09: The NCC (National Cadet Corps) cadets of 3rd Battalion NCC concluded their 10 day training near the line of control in Gurez valley, North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday.
Led by the Commanding Officer (CO) of the 3 J&K NCC Battalion, the camp was kicked on on first june and was concluded today with an inspiring concluding address of Brigadier 109 Battalion address, who urged the cadets to adopt the disciplines that he learned during 10 days of training.
Speaking with the media 3rd J&K Bn commondent MS Kumar said that in this 10 days training camp 347 cadets were trained in weapon handling, drill, guard of honor, awareness programmes regarding protecting our forests, awareness on drugs and plantation drive etc.
He also said that the cadets are enthusiastic to join NCC and Indian Army by learning from NCC camps they can get A,B and C certificates which can benefit the cadets in any government job or Army.
“We are thankful to the Indian army for providing us the opportunity to join this camp and training us with unity and discipline which is not only important in forces and also important in our lives,we have learned discipline here which is important in every ones life ” , Aatif, a senior said.
He also said that the 10 days camp motivates him to join the Indian army and serve their country.
Another cadet, Faizan, while sharing his experience said that he now aims to be an officer in the Indian army. We have been awarded various opportunities in the Indian army where we can go after our 10th and 12th exams, and will serve our country like our soldiers of the Indian army.
“We are thankful to the Indian army and NCC 3rd BN for conducting this camp in Gurez as we got the opportunity to explore this beautiful valley on the line of control,” he added.
“With their enthusiasm and commitment, they are poised to excel in the days to come, embodying the spirit of the NCC and their dedication to the nation’s service,” a senior Indian army official said in his address.
The camp concluded with shouting slogans from cadets who Cahnated Bharat Mata ki Jai.
