CUS inks MoU with HBSU Mumbai

Srinagar: Cluster University Srinagar (CUS) has entered Memorandum of Understanding with Dr. Homi Baba State University (HBSU) Mumbai with the aim of fostering collaborative research, innovation and academic development.

The MOU was signed by Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Srinagar, Prof. Qayyum Husain and Vice Chancellor of Dr. Homi Baba State University, Prof. Rajanish K Kamat. The MOU will remain in effect for a period of three years and covers wide range of areas including promotion of research, information exchange, enhancement of practical education and faculty exchange programme.

Senior officials of Cluster University were present on the occasion including Registrar, Dr. Syed Wilayat Hussain Rizvi; In-charge Dean Academics and Dean Humanities & Liberal Arts, Dr. Deeba Sarmad; Controller of Examinations, Dr. Khurshid Ahmad Mir; Dean Commerce & Management, Dr. G.M Lone; Dean Sciences, Dr. Naseer Hussain Shah; Dean Social Sciences, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Kotey, Dean Teacher Education, Dr. Munir Ahmad Mir and Assistant Registrar, Mr. Gulzar Ahmad.

Referring to the MoU, Prof. Qayyum said, “Both universities aim to advance research initiatives and cultivate a strong research culture among students and faculty members. We also intend to share valuable information about our programs and activities to enrich the practical education experience for students.”

“We also plan to jointly organize seminars, conferences, workshops and other events. The faculty exchange programme shall promote cross-pollination of ideas, pedagogical methods, and research expertise. Our faculty development programmes will empower educators with advanced pedagogical techniques, research methodologies and leadership skills,” Prof. Qayyum said, adding that the MoU may be renewed upon mutual agreement after three years.
