Baramulla, Nov 5: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated that those who support terrorism in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will face death and destruction.
While addressing a gathering in Baramulla during an event as per Kashmir Despatch, LG Sinha remarked that individuals who endorse terrorism and disrupt the peaceful environment in Jammu and Kashmir will have to confront dire consequences.
He emphasized, “No one will be spared who promotes terrorism.”
Regarding the restoration of statehood, LG Sinha indicated that statehood will be returned to the people of Jammu and Kashmir soon, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also committed to this promise.
He also suggested that no political efforts are needed for the restoration of statehood, as it has already been assured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Therefore, those who continue to discuss the restoration of statehood are merely making empty statements, as it has already been promised by the central leadership.
Notably, in his address to the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, the LG stated on Monday, “The aspiration for a return to statehood remains strong. The Prime Minister has repeatedly expressed his commitment to restoring statehood, which has rekindled hope and reassurance among the people. The Council of Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir recently passed a unanimous resolution calling for the immediate restoration of statehood. This resolution reflects the collective will of the elected representatives and resonates with the aspirations of the people for the reinstatement of full democratic governance. My government will make every effort to restore full statehood and ensure constitutional guarantees for J&K. This would be a fitting response to the trust placed by the people of Jammu and Kashmir in our democratic institutions.”
