Srinagar, Dec 08 : A tragic incident occurred in the Nowgam area of Srinagar, where a young cricketer lost his life after being struck by a ball during a match.
A police official told JKNS that the cricketer was playing at the Madankha Nowgam cricket ground when the ball hit him.
He said he fell to the ground and lost consciousness. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead upon arrival.
He was identified as Adnan Raheem Bhat, son of Ab Rahim Bhat, a resident of Aastanpora Rawalpora.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and further details are awaited.—(JKNS)
