Sopore, Dec 30 : In a demonstration of its zero-tolerance policy towards crime and social evils, the police in Sopore have arrested 88 drug peddlers throughout the year 2024, with the aim of transforming the town into a drug-free environment.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore, Divya D (IAS) addressed the media and shared details regarding the police’s achievements in 2024. She highlighted the actions taken against narcotics during the year, stating:

SP Divya-D (IAS) further stated that during year 2024, illegal wild cannabis cultivated on 15 kanals of state land was destroyed in collaboration with the revenue and other concerned departments. She also noted that 20 individuals were charged under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
