Srinagar, January 1: A special prayer meeting in memory of the late Abu Tariq Mir Ghulam Nabi from Doru Shahabad, Anantnag, was held today at the residence of Syed Mujtiba Geelani, Sajjada Nashin of Noor’s Hermitage in Nishat, Srinagar.
The late Abu Tariq Mir Ghulam Nabi, father of prominent journalist Tari Ali Mir, passed away last month at his residence in Doru Shahabad. He was a widely respected religious figure and the author of several religious books.
On this occasion, special prayers were held for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Several prominent religious personalities attended the prayer meeting, which was presided over by Syed Mohammad Aslam Andrabi, Sajjada Nasheen of Khanqah Kralpora. The special guest on the occasion was the prominent religious scholar Maulana Showkat Hussain Keng. The attendees paid glowing tributes to Mir Ghulam Nabi Sahib during the meeting.
