SRINAGAR, Jan 9: The mother of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Altaf Khan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zubair Khan passed away in Srinagar on Friday, leaving the family and well-wishers in deep grief.
The deceased was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard at Barbarshah. Her Nimaz-e-Jinazah was offered at 11 am today, which witnessed the participation of people from all walks of life, including relatives, friends, senior police officers, civil administration officials, and members of the public.
Condolences poured in from various quarters, with many expressing solidarity with the bereaved family in this moment of profound sorrow.
Syed Basharat, Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir Despatch Newspaper, expressed deep anguish over the sad demise and extended heartfelt condolences to DIG Altaf Khan, SSP Zubair Khan, and other family members. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for strength and patience for the family to bear this irreparable loss.
“May Almighty Allah grant Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul and give courage to the bereaved family to endure this tragedy,” he said.
