Ganderbal, August 15: Kashmir Despatch Reporter for Ganderbal district, Touseef Wani, was honoured by the district administration during the Independence Day celebrations for his excellent coverage and unbiased reporting on public issues and grievances in the district.
The appreciation award was presented to Wani by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Jatin Kishore (IAS) and SSP Ganderbal Sudhanshu Dhama (IPS) during the Independence Day function held in Ganderbal.
Wani was presented with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his contribution to highlighting public concerns and bringing various issues faced by the people to the attention of the authorities through responsible journalism.
The recognition was seen as an appreciation of the important role played by local journalists in highlighting public grievances and strengthening communication between the administration and the people.
