SRINAGAR: Aisha Begum, wife of late Mohammad Shafi Baba and grandmother of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir State Spokesperson Danish Bhat, passed away, leaving her family, relatives and well-wishers in deep sorrow.
Aisha Begum was a resident of Umar Colony B, near Masjid Usman, Lal Bazar, Srinagar. The family had earlier been associated with Narparistan in Fateh Kadal.
According to the family, her congregational Fateh Khani will be offered on Friday at 2:30 PM at their ancestral graveyard in New Fateh Kadal, located behind Haqani Masjid near Shah Sahab Haqani Shrine.
Her demise has been mourned by relatives, friends and acquaintances, who conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul. They also expressed solidarity with the family during this difficult hour and prayed for strength and fortitude for them to bear the loss.
Danish Bhat was appointed State Spokesperson of the BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit in April this year and has since been regularly representing the party on political and public issues in the Union Territory.
The family has requested people to remember the deceased in their prayers.
