Jammu, 26 September 2026: Sh. Subash Gupta, Chief Education Officer, Jammu, paid his first official visit to the historic Govt. Sri Ranbir Model Higher Secondary School, Parade, Jammu, where he was warmly welcomed by Dr. Kishor Sharma, Principal, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the school.
The visit commenced with a traditional and auspicious welcome with Vedic mantras and Tilak. The Chief Education Officer was then presented with a planter, traditional chunari and flowers as a mark of respect and warm hospitality, followed by a ceremonial showering of flowers.
Dr. Kishor Sharma, Principal, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Education Officer and highlighted the school’s rich heritage, achievements and commitment to providing quality education.
In his address, Sh. Subash Gupta, CEO Jammu, shared his professional journey, experiences and memories. He appreciated the warm reception extended by the school fraternity and interacted with teachers and students, acknowledging their dedication towards education.
During the visit, the CEO took a round of the school campus, visited classrooms and interacted with students and staff. He also visited various sections of the historic institution and appreciated its rich heritage, academic environment and campus facilities.
The programme was anchored by Smt. Sushma Rani, Lecturer, who conducted the proceedings with grace and coordination.
The discipline and student management during the programme were commendably maintained by the Well Being House under the guidance of House In-charge Sh. Manjit Singh Chib and his dedicated team, with valuable support from the Sports Faculty.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Smt. Parveen Akhter, Vice Principal, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Education Officer for visiting the institution and spending valuable time with the school fraternity.
The visit was marked by warmth, respect and a strong sense of institutional pride, making the first visit of the Chief Education Officer to the historic school a memorable occasion.
