Jammu, 04 October: In Jammu Division, the closing ceremony of Hindi Pakhwada-2026 (14th to 30th September, 2026) was organized on 01st October, 2026 in the auditorium of the Divisional Office, Jammu. The ceremony was presided over by Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu, Shri Vivek Kumar.
On this occasion, the winners of various Hindi competitions organized with the aim of promoting the Official Language Hindi and encouraging its excellent use in official work, were felicitated with prizes and certificates.
During the Hindi Pakhwada, various competitions and programs were organized by Jammu Division, prominent among which were Hindi Essay Competition, Noting and Drafting Competition, Poetry Recitation Competition, Quiz Competition, etc. Apart from this, Hindi workshops and various programs related to Official Language were also organized at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
A large number of railway employees from various departments and workplaces of Jammu Division participated enthusiastically in these competitions and programs. A total of 45 employees who performed excellently in various competitions were declared winners and awarded prizes.
During the closing ceremony, DRM Jammu, Shri Vivek Kumar, while congratulating all the winning employees, said that Hindi is not only the official language, but also an important medium to make official work simple and effective. He called upon all railway employees to use Hindi to the maximum extent in their daily official work.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Additional Divisional Railway Manager along with all Branch Officers, officers and staff of the Rajbhasha Department and railway personnel from various departments.
