Kangan, Oct 10: Three persons, including two truck drivers and a conductor, were injured in a collision between two trucks on the Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri (SSG) Road near the headquarters of the 118 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.
The accident involved two trucks bearing registration numbers JK14L-8151 and PB35-Z-0298, which collided under circumstances that were not immediately known.
Following the incident, personnel of the CRPF’s 118 Battalion promptly launched a rescue operation and evacuated the injured persons to Gund Hospital, where they were provided initial medical treatment.
Considering their condition and the need for further medical attention, all three injured were subsequently referred to Kangan Trauma Hospital for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Raj Kumar, Vinaml Kumar and Ravi Kumar, all residents of Himachal Pradesh.
No loss of life has been reported in connection with the incident so far.
