Seven injured in gas cylinder blast in Uri

Uri : Seven persons were injured on Monday morning when a gas cylinder exploded in north Kashmir’s Baramulla village.


Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said seven persons were injured when a gas cylinder exploded inside the house of Ghulam Mahiddin Ganie in Trikanjan Boniyar on Monday.


All the injured were rushed to nearby hospital where doctors referred them to District- hospital Baramulla for advanced treatment reports added.


The hospital authorities while confirming the incident to Kashmir Despatch identified all injured as Ghulam Mahiddin Ganie (57) son of Habibulah Ganie his two daughters and two sons Javeed Ahmed (25) , Mohammad Ismail (18 ) , Soni Bano(20) , Sakeena Bano (22) and their two relatives Rafeeq Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid (24) and Manzoor Ahmed son of Mohammad Akbar Ganie (35). Authorities further said that condition of all the injured is said to be stable.


Local reports said that soon after the incident a team from civil administration visited the spot and took stock of the incident.
