Seven lakh students registered on NSP Portal: DSEK

As many as seven lakh students have been registered on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) in Kashmir Division till date.

This was stated in a handout released on Saturday by the Director School Education, Kashmir, Mohammad Younis Malik.

“7 lakh students have been so far registered on the NSP for pre-matric Scholarship and post-matric scholarship schemes till date. The number is expected to increase by February 10, 2020, which is the last date for the registration,” the handout reads.

It was revealed that all the schools of Kashmir Division have been registered on NSP to facilitate the students to avail benefit of different scholarship schemes.

It was given out that out of 1164 students, 273 students of class 8th have qualified for National Merit–cum-Means Scholarship. These students have appeared in the special examination conducted for the purpose by the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, during the month of September 2019.
