PSA slapped on two drug peddlers in Sopore

Sopore: Police on Friday said two drug peddlers have been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Station House Officer Sopore Azim Iqbal while giving details to Kashmir Despatch identified the drug peddlers as Hilal Ahmed Magray son of Ghulam Mahiddin Magray of Upper Ashpeer Sopore and Faizal Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar of Khushal Colony Sopore against whom a case stands registered in Police Station Sopore with FIR No. 131/2019 8/22 NDPS Act.

Officer said earlier seized a huge quantity of narcotic drugs from the possession of two individuals.

Station House Officer Azim Iqbal further said, as part of a drive to curb the menace of drug abuse in the Sopore town crackdown against drug peddlers will continue.

Pertinent to mention here on Friday SHO Sopore Azim Iqbal was among the awardee of DGP’S commendation medal and certificate for his outstanding service and good work with dedication for Sopore town in the year 2019.
