Sopore: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a person involved in several cases of theft in Sopore town.
A police official told Kashmir Despatch “On complaint, a case FIR No 30/2020 under section 379 IPC was registered and an investigation was taken up.
During investigation one Irfan Mushtaq Gasi son of Mushtaq Ahmed Gasi resident of Kraltang Sopore was arrested near Hospital in town.
When police spoke to him, he confessed to the crime and revealed that he was involved in the theft of tape recorders of many vehicles in town.
