Violators of procedural protocol, May face its consequences: 2 FIR’s registered in Tangmerg

Baramulla: Police on Friday claimed to have registered two FIR’s against the violators of procedural protocol issued by the government of India in north Kashmir’s Tangmerg.

A police official told Kashmir Despatch, on a specific tip of information received by the police station Tangmarg, regarding the assemble of people in village Wahpora and Gutlipora.

Gultipora village in north Kashmir’s Tangmerg has been recently declared buffer zone by the authorities after the area had witnessed the death of COVID-19 victim.

An official told the concerned police station raided both the villages and found a large number of citizens of Wahpora and Gutlipora who organized a traditional propetation commonly known as (Bandara), which according to recent orders is a gross violation of section 144.

According to a police official in this regard, an FIR has been registered and two victims were noted in, as Auqaf Committee Wahpora and its organizers (Including facilitators and Sarpanch ).

A case FIR NO.33/2020 and Case FIR NO 34/2020 respectively.

Officer further said the residents of Wahipora village denied to follow the protocol issued by the government and were assembled in Masjids for Friday prayers.

Meanwhile, Admin in Baramulla once again requested the general public to stay home and not to organizing any social gathering without written permission from the concerned magistrate.
