Handwara, : Panic gripped in Handwara hospital on Monday when a patient from Covid-19 red zone died here.
Sources told KNS that a patient of Shahwali Kupwara which falls under red zone area was shifted to District Hospital Handwara for general treatment where patient breathed last.
An official of Health Department told KNS that deceased was not Covid-19 positive case and initial reports suggest that patient has died due to cardiac stroke.
Cheif Medical Officer (CMO) Kousar Jan failed to reply the query when asked how deceased was shifted to the facilty from a red zone area without following medical protocol. She dropped the phone without explicating fault. (KNS).
